Relationship with the bloc The united kingdoms relationship going forward is most likely going to become non-existent. If they want to continue trade with European countries they will have to be ensure they’re complying to the blocs trade standards and rules, and other countries as well. The European Union has insisted that if the United Kingdom wants to continue trade with any of the EU countries, then the UK must continue to abide by the EU’s trading standards. This will become a big complication for the UK when creating trade deals with countries who have different standards. According to Reuter Magazine, â€Å" The bloc will also seek to ensure Britain adheres to EU rules - including any changes - during transition, and the possible avenue†¦show more content†¦Canada made a different approach at inviting the United Kingdom to trade. Instead of offering the opportunity to establish deals, they proposed inviting the United Kingdom into NAFTA and doing free trade with their bloc. Canada was a bit more interested in creating a relationship rather that a business deal. Australia has also stated that they would be interested in creating trade deals with the United Kingdom. In fact they stated that they would be interested in creating a free trade agreement with the United Kingdom post Brexit. Although they also stated that first they will look into free trade deals with the European Union as well. The United Kingdom and Australia already have a close relationship and will likely establish trade deals post Brexit. It’s very apparent that the U nited Kingdom has many opportunities to establish new trade deals around the world. Though they will have to ensure they are cautious of that countrys standards. Every country is going to do things differently than what they are used to. They are likely to run into some differences in the product standards required when establishing trade deals. Moving forward, it will be easier if the UK does not establish a future relationship with the bloc.
